Welcome to White Hills Located in Hammonds Plains, White Hills is a 58 unit facility which was constructed to replace one half of the current Glades Lodge, under the Dept of Health's Continuing Care Initiative to reconstruct the province's aging long term care facilities. White Hills is a state-of-the-art nursing care facility catering to those who require assistance in performing their activities of daily living.
Clients of White Hills live in one of four beautifully decorated neighbourhoods, where they have immediate access to a common area kitchen, living and dining area, and SPA. Each neighbourhood also has access to a beautifully landscaped secure garden area where clients are able to safely enjoy the paved walking paths and raised flower beds. A hair salon, library, physiotherapy and occupational therapy exercise room and a doctor's clinic are also on site for the comfort and convenience of our residents and those who care for them.
White Hills has a training area on site which keeps our caregivers up to date on best practices as well as educates new members of our team on GEM's company-wide policies and procedures.
The sister facility of White Hills which will be home to the remaining 66 clients at Glades is The Admiral, and is under construction in Dartmouth with an expected occupancy date of Spring 2012.
