The Mira is a 90 unit Long Term Care Center built by GEM Health Care in 1999. Located at the top of Young street, it is a single floor facility overlooking beautiful downtown Truro and surrounding areas. Residents find it to be the ideal place for them to live, as they generally are unable to perform various activities of their daily lives, and the Mira has the professional staff to accommodate any needs that the residents may have.
The Mira Long Term Care Center is also a unique seniors' residential care facility, as they have many programs and policies that are not required for a facility of its level of care, such as a Peritoneal Dialysis unit, a seniors' Dental Clinic, and a Palliative Care room.
