The Admiral Long Term Care Center in Dartmouth, a 66 bed facility will represent one half of the current Glades Lodge in Halifax, Nova Scotia's first long term care facility. Situated atop Admiral Street, and overlooking Lakes MicMac and Banook, GEM Health Care Group's "The Admiral" will begin to take shape in early 2010, incorporating GEM's ever evolving model of care into 4 separate neighbourhoods of 13-14 residents. The Admiral takes advantage of a beautiful piece of property being a three level facility, with each neighbourhood having ground level access to gardens outside and quick and easy access for residents to all that there is to enjoy inside their neighbourhood.
