Glades Lodge Long Term Care Center, a 123 bed nursing facility, was acquired by GEM Health Care in 1983 and is one of the facilities which has been chosen to be replaced by the Nova Scotia Dept of Health under their Continuing Care Strategy. Glades Lodge, staff, and residents will be divided into 2 new state-of-the-art facilities, White Hills Long Term Care Center located in Upper Hammonds Plains and The Admiral Long Term Care Center in Dartmouth.

~Workplace Education Program~
Glades Lodge has been offering workplace training programs for its employees since 2005. These programs have included academic upgrading, document use, basic computer training and communications courses.
