Welcome to Gables Lodge Located in the beautiful town of Amherst, Gables Lodge was GEM Health Care Group's first acquistion in the seniors' care market. It is a 99 unit facility which caters to those who require nursing care and assistance with their daily activities of living.
Clients who live at Gables Lodge enjoy the activity program which keeps them enthused and involved with their neighbours. For their convenience there is also a hair salon, library and a multi-denominational spiritual center in the facility. Healthy meals and snacks are prepared onsite under the direction of our nutritionist and are enjoyed in our beautifully decorated dining areas.
The original Gables Lodge had clients living in a series of three Victorian homes, but after it was acquired in 1980 it was soon reconstructed to introduce GEM Health Care Group's standards to Nova Scotia's seniors.
